I opened up my powerstrip program and seen that the card clock settings are on 175/400, i turned down the memory clock to about 200mhz after noticing that.

Anyone know the reccomended clock settings or max safe oc speeds?

p.s with the mem on 400 i played cs for about 20 minutes with no problem, and i just installed this card.

powerstrip is showing "effective MHZ"

The GF3 Ti 200 uses "Double Data Rate" RAM that operates at 200 MHz, which gives the effective speed of 400 MHz "Single Data Rate" RAM. It's just reporting the effective rate. By tuning it down to 200, your RAM is really running at 100 MHz.

The Ti 200 will overclock to somewhere between 200 - 230 ish on the core and 450-490ish on the memory

You have to expeirment on exactly how far you will get

I ran my MSI Ti200 at 215/495 without problems. You could run 200/460 with ease, and that's normal plain jane GF3 speed.

The original fan on mine did as well. The little black piece that holds the fan on there can be removed (it snaps in) I drilled a hole in each corner, cut the old fan out and mounted a tiny fan to the top of it. I then snapped it back in.

So yea I was going to ask a similar question except my card is one of the variants of the geforce 3. It's called the elsa gladiac 920. How do I go about overclocking it and what are safe speeds? I don't wanna risk burning it out!

Google "coolbits". Basically you go into your registry make this file called " coolbits" in your nividia folder and set it to "3". This lets you go into your properties and adjust your clock settings. As in right click desktop->settings->advanced-> then find your tab that lets you manipulate your clock speeds. hope that helps some.
