Oh cool! Can I use that with my Fatal1ty motherboard and PSU? :p /sarc

Why do they even bother with endorsements? These guys are geeks not celebs. lol
Haha. They sure do go wild for it on the EVGA forums, though. People are ready to sell their brand new 780s to get a new set of K|ngp|n approved mystery GPUs.

Heh, it's basically brand loyalty to the max. nVidia has been milking the bejeezus out of the GK110 line for the longest time now. First it was Titan for $1000 and people gobbled that up, then it was 780 for $650 and people gobbled that up even faster. The 780 Ti launched for $700, which isn't all that much faster than the 780 while starting at a higher launch price than the 780, and now we have the EVGA "Cash Cow 9001". I'm expecting less than 15% improvement over the stock 780 Ti for >15% price. If I were in the market for nVidia graphics cards, I'd feel like a sucker if I kept buying the latest and greatest.

Yea.....it is better to wait 2 years between product launches!

NV and AMD are stuck on the current node....why would a card being released that is for the top 1-2%, as stated by NV, bother anyone?

Quickly browsed through that thread in the OP, here's what Jacob had to say about it:

Yes the card will be revealed this year, but availability probably won't be till early next year.

The cooler is not actually made from Carbon, that is just a small piece of it and is a cosmetic thing. More pictures will be released over the next couple of days and the entire product/concept should become more clear soon  This is not so much a cooler product as it is a brand new card... targeted at ultra enthusiast, or whatever you would call something that is even higher than enthusiast... lets call it super-mega enthusiast

Based on what evga Jacob said I highly doubt that it is a gpu cooler specifically. It is definitely a new GPU,
What kind of gpu remains to be seen. If its not maxwell I'm going to be pretty disappointed. I mean, really.
Things have just been getting out of hand with all the refresh/rebrands this generation. One refresh per product
Is expected, but things have just been getting ridiculous.
Not a new GPU, its a new card.

And then right below the second quote he confirms that the 780Ti Classified will be out early December. As to what this mystery card is, is anyone's guess.

Jacob is awesome, but something tells me he isn't awesome enough to be the one to leak a new node launch :p

Ha seriously. 780 ti Classified "early December" according to Jacob in another post. This is prolly a Super Classified. :)

Purely cosmetic CF piece which probably costs less than $10 to put on? +$50 to the sticker price. The kicker? People will still buy it.

Yep, will go head to head with the 290xxx

Psh, AMD and their naming schemes.

290x3

290 Triple X

290 Rated XXX

290 You though it was loud before Edition

How about let's talk about the actual topic and not AMD 290 series.

EVGA GTX 780 Ti KingPin Edition
GeForce GTX 780 TI KPE is something I heard about before the launch of the original GTX 780 Ti. Back then it was an acronym for Black Edition. KPE simply stands for KingPin Edition. Vince “k|ngp|n” Lucido is an extreme overclocker known for breaking many world records in GPU performance. EVGA teamed up with him again to make a new product, which basically is a GeForce GTX 780 Ti on steroids.

What is so special about it? 6GB RAM, no TDP limit and unlocked voltage. That’s why it’s refereed as a ‘new card’. At this point I don’t know if KPE is EVGA’s exclusive or is it actually a new model card from NVIDIA itself. Maybe that’s why we haven’t seen MSI’s GTX 780 Ti Lightning yet? Nevertheless, it’s good to see NVIDIA finally allowing AIBs to launch new models without pointless restrictions.

A factory OC'ed 6GB 780ti.
