Hi All,
Has anyone found that the voltages from MBM have been off? I'm questioning their accuracy, as I checked the system voltages at the plugs and found significantly higher voltages than MBM reported. But another question has arisen, as I have experienced some instability at a mild OC (140 MHz) at standard voltages. I upped the voltage to 2.85 (I have an EPoX 8KHA+) and am running fine at 145 MHz, but the MBM dashboard reports 2.78 V. The instability has been noticed both during games and even at idle.
The deal appears to be some combination of the following:
1. MBM is wrong, everything is OK and I'm a flake (no doubt of that!)
2. MBM is right, the voltages measured out at the ends of the PS cables have no bearing on the voltages present in the MB
3. My PS is just a little too weenie to run my system and I need (no, really dear!) to get an Enermax 465,
My system specs
EPoX 8KHA+
Athlon XP 1700+
Antec 1030 w/ 300W PS
HP 9100 8x4x32 CD/RW
Afreey 50X CD
Maxtor 7200 rpm 30GB
floppy
Linksys NIC
Diamond mm HPNA NIC
Soundblaster Live 5.1 MP3
4 fans totalling ~ 10 watts
HP 970CXi on USB bus
TIA for your comments!
Steve
