Oh, well then excuse my ignorance on the matter, carry on :)

I have a similar build (see my signature) and I have it running extremely stable (no BSOD's or unexplained crashes in over 6 months).

I couldn't get it past 2.45GHz for a while, and I kept blaming my memory. I upped the VDIMM, loosened timings, added memory dividers, etc. I actually lost more performance than I gained for a while. I was pretty disappointed.

Finally, six months ago, I gave it another shot, with 2.6GHz being my goal from the start. This time I left the memory at a 1:1 divider, suggested timings (2.5-3-3-6), and 1T. I gave the memory a bit of extra voltage from the start, and started raising the FSB.

I ran into the same brick wall around 225-230 that I did previously. Just by chance, I upped the Vcore higher than I had before, and it started up without a problem. Seems that the processor was the problem the entire time, and I kept blaming the memory. Right now I have it running at 240FSB, 2.6GHz, and the suggested memory timings without any problems. I have the same motherboard, so I'll post my settings in just a second.

Alright, here's what I'm running at right now:

Jumper Free settings:
CPU Frequency - 240
PCI-E - 100MHz
DDR Voltage - 2.70
Chipset Voltage - 1.5
HT Voltage - 1.20
CPU Multiplier - x11
CPU Voltage - 1.425
PC Clock Synch - auto

CPU Config settings:
Hyper Transport Frequency - 5x
AMD Cool'n'Quiet - Disabled (obviously)
Memclock Index - 400MHz
Tcl - 2.5
Tras - 6T
Trcd - 3T
Trp - 3T
Trc - 16T
Trfc - 18T
Trwt - 4T
Twr - 3T
1T / 2T - 1T
S/W - Enabled
H/W - Enabled

I highly suggest building up to those settings instead of plugging them in and hoping for the best. Leave your CPU at what it is now, and go play with the memory. Try to get it to boot with the settings I have my memory set at. Oddly enough, my system used to perform horrible when I had my memory set at 1T. I left it that way for a while, and now it seems to run great. Infact, it actually gives me problems booting if it set it back to 2T.

Keep in mind that your memory is 2x1GB and mine is 2x512MB. I don't know about now, but when I bought it, the 1GB models always had worse timings. You might need to loosen your timings a bit, maybe to 3-3-3-6, or 3-4-4-8. Try going to 2.8 Vdimm if that doesn't work.

Finally, the voltage probably depends a lot on your power supply. If you can't get it to boot, try slightly higher voltage settings than I have on mine. My PSU isn't the best out there (hell, it came with the case), but you never know.

my voltage is at 1.45 right now but cpuz sees it going from 1.478-1.5v Isnt that unsafe? i hear its bad to go over that 1.5 mark.

dennilfloss could you post your settings to get that high of a clock? Did you have to lower your ddr speeds?
