A few questions...

First of all, is anyone running an X2 3800+ (or any X2) on the Neo2 Plat.? I'm going to purchase an X2 3800+ and 2GB of OCZ dual channel platinum DDR 400, but I haven't heard/read of many people running X2's on the Neo2 Plat. I guess my main question is does anyone think I can get a decent OC with the Neo2 Plat.? I'm hoping for at least 2.4GHz like I achieved with my 3200+ Winchester.

Secondly, does anyone know if the 2.85V vDIMM ceiling on the Neo2 will inhibit the OCZ platinum memory from doing 2-3-2-5 @ 1T (on a .83 divider)? Futhermore, would I be just as well getting some OCZ or Corsair value RAM (both vendors offer 2GB dual channel value kits, but they're rated at 3-4-4-8...could I at least get 2.5-4-4-x with 2.85 vDIMM)?

Next, will the Zalman CNPS7000-AlCu (w/ AS5) provide sufficient cooling for an OC'd X2 3800+ (I assume so since it has the same TDP as my Winchester)?

Lastly, I just wanted to mention that I'm putting off purchasing a new motherboard because I'm waiting to see the various nForce4 SLI x16 offerings, a 7800 vanilla or 7600 GT, and whether or not nVIDIA will enable H.264 decoding in the Geforce 7 series. So I'm stuck with the Neo2 Plat. in the meantime.

Anyway, sorry for the long post. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I am!!! So is MarkFW900...He has a 4400+ and so do I....Look at my sig. I can do 2.62ghz prime stable with 1.52v, but I chose to run lower. My temps are fine with an XP90...I see 50c max with dual instance of F@H running 24/7 for weeks on end....

Mark has same 2.57ghz range and similar temps with an XP90....

NO issues with use of a bios 1.9 or greater....

The vcore is tricky...you have to set it with overvid % since the regular settings of .025v increments doesn't seem to work for me....Stock settings and this thing will boot at 1.296v which is .05v undervolting from stock 1.35v.....8.3% overvid which mark and I are runing sets it to 1.456idle and 1.488load...Board has no droop it actually increase vcore under load which is nice..

The vdimm is only 2.85v but with TCCD sticks like mine I have no issue running cas 2.5-4-4-10 at 514ddr with Patriot extremes cas 2-3-2-5, 1T.....I use the TCCD modded bios for the 1A.3 bios...It is an official MSI official. I run 200 divider and run a 10x multi similar to what you would have with the 3800+....

So am I. No issues to mention. The memory controller is better than my old Winnie 3000+ which I couldn't get stable with my current memory settings (see signature).

Thorough recommended for overclocking.

Good to hear. One other thing, since I had to remove the CPU bracket for my CNPS7000-AlCu, if I want to get an XP90, is it possible to reattach the bracket? I used a hairdryer to heat up the adhesive thermal pad so that it would come off, so would I just heat it up again and reattach?

Sheet...sorry, I saw it mounted in a couple of reviews, and I thought it was mounted on the standard CPU socket bracket. Thanks.

I am using an X2 with the Neo2 also...i just got mine today :D.

So far it seems to be doing alright; i'm presently attempting to get a bit more than 2.0 GHz out of my X2 3800+.

Also, if your Zalman works well with your Winnie, you should be fine.
However, i was extremely disappointed with my Zalman to the point of getting a TT Big Typhoon.
Now so far my load temps are 13C lower :Q, & this is going from a Venice with the crappy Zalman to an E6 (Toledo) 3800+ with the TT Big Typhoon!

I am extremely impressed! :D

Ever since I overclocked my Winchester to 2.4GHz (was running rather cool at 2.2GHz), I haven't been too impressed with my Zalman either. So I might get an XP-90.

BTW, from the reviews I've read, the XP-90c doesn't seem to offer much (if any) improvements over the std. aluminum XP-90. Considering the significant increase in weight (690g vs. 360g), I was thinking I'd just get the aluminum version. Recommendations?
