Ocing Video Cards: Testing for stability?

I've got a new GF2 MX400, and I'm wondering how would Igo about testing it's stablity when overclocked. Running 3DMark 2001? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Loop 3DMark at a high resolution, like 1280x1024 or 1600x1200. You want to put the stress on the card and not the CPU. Then after you are successful, then turn the 3DMark resolution down to 640x480 and loop again for a while. This will stress your CPU and is a good check as well. Also, watch the screen for artifacts that can be the result of a too high memory OC.

actually the best test is to sit your butt down for a good 2 hour fragfest 😉

beside that - run 3dmark2001 for a few hours.

I agree, looping 3DMark works reasonable well, but blasting out your favorite games for 2 hours is a more thorough and accurate test for stability. Plus it is also alot of fun😉
