Ocing tbred 2100b, 8rda+ but only pc2100?

Ok, tbred 2100b on way from new egg, 8rda+ on way. 400w Antec psu(already in my 1040B), most likely slk-800 or 900 cooler, but can only swing the crucial 2x256mb pc2100 I am currently running.

Is it possible for me to squeeze out 2-2.25Ghz with only pc2100?
Plan on getting some 3500 or 3200 eventually, but probably not for a while.
How much will this hold me back?

Thanks.

The memory may hold ya back from running your FSB frequency in sync with your memory frequency (results in better performance), if overclocking FSB over 266MHz DDR. Clock speed potential depends on how ya overclock it - FSB/multiplier ratio.

Indeed.

Yeah I figure I will run the FSB at least 166x13 to start, but wont sync it with memory. See how that does 🙂

Oh yeah and I am running the pc2100 at 145fsb with my locked XP 1600 on an 8kha+ right now.

I would set them as aggressive as possible, with stability. Memory speed as close to the FSB speed as possible.

I have my Crucial PC2100 and same board running at 170 and that is sync'd with the fsb. Don't let that pc2100 number fool ya. I am at 2220Mhz on my Tbred 2100. Have my timings very conservative. Will move to more aggressive later.
