at the place im getting my cpu, there is about a $55 difference... im pretty sure the difference between the 900mhz vs 1ghz isnt too much (or is it?) but what would be the best overclocker? (im guessing the 900?)

Ray, a good 900 can go 1100 and a good 1GHz can go 1200+.

If you get a dog, the 900 may only do 1GHz and the 1GHz 1100.

$55 is quite a difference. If it were me, I'd probably be satisfied to get 900 to the 1GHz mark, and happier if it did more. :)

I got my t-bird 900 to 1150 and then my L1 bridges wore off. One of them seemed to stay so I haven't gotten around to unlocking them again and I have it at 980. While it was at 1150. I was getting some errors but it wasn't locking up or anything. I don't know if windows didn't like it or it was overheating but it worked;)
