I'll start out with my current computer specs -
AMD 2500+ Barton (locked multiplier) with Vantec Aeroflow (no problems with temps)
ASUS A7N8X
1GB(2x512) OCZ EL PC3200 Platinum Edition (2-3-2-5)
Western Digital 40GB 7200RPM 8mb buffer
ATI 9800Pro 128mb
Creative Live Audigy2 ZS
52x32x52x Lite On CDRW
Aspire Case with 420W PSU Silent Dual Fan, 6 case fans ( http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-144-034&depa=1 )

I'll try to explain my problem but I'll most likely end up rambling. Well, I bought this computer almost a year ago and have only made changes to the RAM/HSF. I started out with 2x256 Geil Golden Dragon Value Series. After about a couple weeks I purchased a new HSF, Vantec Aeroflow ( http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-110-007&depa=1 ) so that I could overclock. I easily got it to run at 200FSB from 166 without changing the cpu voltage or memory voltage. I ran it like this for like 4-5 months until I wanted to get 1GB dual channel, but I didn't have enough money at the time for the OCZ pair that I wanted so I just bought one. My computer ran fine and performed better on this single stick of OCZ. Eventually though I started having some stability problems and my computer would crash in games or randomly restart. I decided that I'd move up the CPU voltage one higher than default. It fixed it for some time but then it started happening again so I raised the voltage again. Well this kept up and I started to not want to raise the cpu voltage anymore so I just started lowering the FSB. This worked for a little also but then the same thing would happen, so for some reason I just decided to replace the RAM. I got 2 brand new sticks of the OCZ (my friend had one he never used, lucky me). I tried the new sticks and the same problems continued unless I ran the FSB at 166. I'd like to get my FSB back to 200 but I need some help with what my problem could be. I think that it could be the PSU since I think I've been pushing it and it wasn't all that incredible to start with. Any advice on what I should do would be appreciated, thanks, and feel free to laugh if I've done something dumb :).

I had almost the exact same system as yours (but with 2x512mb Cosair TwinX3200-LL) and found the system wasn't stable at a 200fsb. 198fsb was perfectly rock-solid, however (12.5x198 on my Barton 2500+ mobile).

In any case, to troubleshoot your system you will need to test the parts seperately to see which is causing your problem. I'd start with memtest for your memory, since I suspect that's where your problem is (run it for several hours/overnight). Also, if you are using two sticks you will likely need to up your mem voltage (Vdimm) to 2.7V on that board. You can use prime95 small FFTs to test the CPU. No pointing in raising your Vcore if that's not where the problem is.

Good luck!

Well, I have the same problem with two brand new sticks of OCZ and had problems with the 2 previous and this is with 2.7V. I don't think that it's the memory and I've been all over with the FSB from 200 and down.
