OCing RAM voltages

I'm seeing a lot of threads about how you can get value RAM pretty high if you're willing to put ~3.4 volts into it. To an OCing newb like me, that sounds like a crapload, given the default is ~2.55. What are the odds of frying RAM at that voltage? How high is it generally safe to volt your RAM?
Oh, and there isn't any kind of value RAM comparison lying around, is there?

Only certain RAM likes a lot of voltage. As far as I know, the only Value RAM that will respond to high voltages are the OCZ Value VX and the Twinmos Value that's based on Winbond UTT.

Errrr, Bh-5,CH-5,and UTT are the only ram I would run at 3.2-3.6 24/7. With all other ram, 2.9 is the max 24/7 voltage.
