OCing questions

I couldn't find the PCI bus lock in the BIOS. Is it automatically set to 33 always?
I found the PCI Express and set it to 100Mhz.

I've set the CPU voltage to 2.0 or so in the bios but its only coming up as 1.2v in CPU-z. CPU-Z is the correct reading right?

After OCing to 3600, I booted into Vista fine but loading WoW I was getting 5-10fps. I then went into power options and set it to high performance and rebooted and everything works fine now. Is this required or a fluke?

If he did, luckily I think Intel chips are smart these days, they'll only give a certain amount of voltage for the clock speed even if its set higher.

For the OP, if your CPU is 2.0 volts, hurry quick to BIOS and go back down to 1.33 or so. Actually, for 3.6 I bet you can set it to default and it will be find. Regardless, just in case you better get it down - I guarentee you won't need more then 1.35 for that clock, and shouldn't need anywhere close to that even

I guess I should have rechecked my setting before posting 😱. But yea its like 1. soemthing and is showing up as 1.2v in CPU-Z. I'm still erroring in prime95 at 1.2v though 🙁

Just an update:

I raised the vcore to 1.3 in BIOS and its reading 1.25 in CPU-Z and bumped the FSB to 423 so I'm at 3.8ghz now. Been running prime for the past 4 hours and it has not errored yet. Currently at 61-64c 100% cpu load as reported by HWMonitor.

Anyone have the answers to my other questions? 😕
