Hey Folks,
I recently redid my comp and had a few questions on Overclocking with the FSB:Memory Ratios
I have a:
P4 1.8 Northwood @ 2.394 on about 1.6Vs, Multiplier 18, running quad pumped 133Mhz x 4 = 532FSB?
Asus p4p800 Mobo
1 stick of 512 Spectek PC2700
2 sticks of 256 Spectek PC2700
set latencies at 2.5-3-3-6 on 2.75Vs
Radeon 9800 Pro 128 @ 425/365 PCmark2001se 14,047 PCmark2003 5,987
I tested my system on Prime 95 for 7 hours straight with no errors, but was wondering if there was any way to continue to push my system further? As I was looking on CPU-z i noticed that the FSB to Memory ratio was set at 4:3 or 3:4 something like that, and was wondering if it would make a difference if that were 3:4 or 4:5 etc. On the motherboard I have the option of running my ram at 333MHz or 266MHz and was wondering which of those settings would be more appropriate/beneficial, and at the same time not compromising my stability. Also, should I turn on the "turbo" function or will that just give me more system hang? and would the "minimize ram latency" option help any? Thanks so much in advance for all your help. Look forward to replys.
