Hi All

Im just playing with my old 3.06B 533 fsb and im wondering if overclocking to 3.40 on air is safe.

I am using PC800 16bit RDRAM 2x256mg samsung.

I am going to to keep as my second system.

I am using Vantec Aeroflow HSF.

I have an Asus P4t533-C , with limited BIOS overclocking options. It does have options in Ram timings of 4x or 3x, its currently default 3x, as i believe 4x is for pc1066 ram.

I have increased the voltage to 1.65.

I have plenty of airflow, and lots of noisy Zalman fans..lol

I am using TURBO mode enabled, for the RAM. I believe this will reduce latency.

Its buzzing away at the moment, quite happily. I have run Prime95, and it comes up with no errors, or probs.

CPU temp is 43.5C Idle 52C Load.

How long can you safely overclock your system, realistically.

How long can you realistically overclock your system? Until you're tired of owning it, as long as you don't give the cpu too much voltage.:D

1.65v is safe for a P4B chip. I wouldn't recommend going any higher than that, though.
