The 2400+ is $20 cheaper... is it worth it to get the 2600+ or can I get roughly the same OC anyway?

Well, theoretically, the 2600+ should OC higher because of the higher default clock speed. However, both should be able to hit at least 2.3-2.4ghz with ease. Depending on your system and cooling, you might be able to get 2.5ghz out of the 2600+.

If money is a issue and you're happy with 2.4ghz, then I'd say get the low-wattage 2400+.

I'm pretty much just over my old PC (AXP 1600+), it does everything I need it to, but I havn't upgraded in a long time and I need to edit my wedding video - and play HL2 of course. I don't use my computer like I used to when I was single, so I really just want something that will keep me up to date... not cutting edge. I do have the money for a super-system, but I can't spend that money on something I really dont need.

go with the 35W 2400+.
also, some CPUs are just lucky. i can hit 2.7 p95 stable on my 45W 2500+ (although that is with a vcore of 2.15 on good water)
pretty much, the odds are there will be an insignificant difference. HL2 is most likely going to be GPU limited anyway, so even a 100MHz difference wont do much.
