Ok, so I need some help with OCing before I jump into it. I understand that I should leave the base speed alone and just mess with the multiplier and VCore settings. But what VCore should I start with? I increment it by .005, correct? What other settings do I need to mess with? I saw some people talking about C3/C6? Any help would be appreciated and before you send me links about OCing, I've read them but it's a lot of info to take in for some just starting off. Also, Asus' tools allow you to mess with OCing witihin Windows; should I do that or stick to BIOS settings? Thanks, guys/gals!

If you are going for a hard overclock(4.5+) I would recommend OCing in the BIOS. If you just want a mild overclock you can just use the standard programs that come with the Mobo disk.

Ok, so I'll probably start with Asus' auto tuning just to mess around with it. But, in the BIOS, besides the VCore and multiplier, what other settings should I play with? The voltage offset, etc?

Actually, overclocking software has really matured in the past years and I think that for stress-testing there is no need to go through the trouble of restarting every time for 0.1GHz. This said, you should download some software, test your system, and then apply the best stable OC in the BIOS.

As for the voltages and frequency, you should first lock the voltage to stock (not offset or auto) and see where you can get with that. If you are not satisfied, increase the voltage as much as you like, but there is always a red line you shouldn't cross. For Sandy it is 1.35V for 24/7, I'm not sure about Ivy but I think it is similar.

Good luck.
