I just built a new system for my dad, and I'm using a DFI Nf4 ultra infinity board with a 3000+ AMD venice.
I'm still using an athlon XP myself, so the whole A64 overclocking is a bit new to me, but not overclocking in general. I've read quite a few guides on OC'ing the A64's and have started tweaking...but heres the problem I'm having.
I will alter the settings and when i restart, i will go back into my BIOS to verify the speed has changed, and it will have changed (from say 1810 to 22XX mhz), but when the computer finishes booting into windows, i will open either Nvidia's monitor or CPU-Z and it will show my stock speed. WHAT GIVES? anybody know what's up or what I'm doing wrong?
