Too many settings are confusing me. Anyone with a similar setup want to share your settings with me? I basically need to "lock" my AGP/PCI and RAM settings while upping the FSB, but I can't seem to get it to work. TIA.

Bump.

I thought you could lock the RAM clock on this board, it does not seem to work. I get a long beep and then an alarm goes off. Is my only choice to buy faster RAM? Dang, I had better luck overclocking this chip on my Abit KG-7......

From what i understand, people say that the 8rda+ locks the pci frequency... the agp frequency you can adjust yourself... i set it to 66 mhz...

yes, all those advanced chipset features can get confusing...

My problem was solved by updating the BIOS to the latest version. My current settings for my Athlon XP 1600 and PC2100 RAM:

157FSB for CPU
123 for RAM - If I set it to 128 the system won't start - starts beeping like crazy.
CPU - set to optimal
RAM - set to aggressive
2.00v for CPU
Everything else at default levels.

Do you mean for the KG7? Just start cranking the FSB up a little at a time and maybe up the voltage a tad - remember on this board you are also overclocking the PCI slots and memory since they do not have seperate settings like the 8RDA+ does.
