Hi,

I was wondering if I should upgrade my ram to get better overclocking ability. For some reason my xp2000 doesn't want to go above 1.74ghz. i do not understand why. I am running around 41*C and 44*C under full load. It doesn't seem to matter what I put my voltage at either. What happens when I go above that is either my system won't boot or programs and games will crash. Here are my system specs.

XP2000 @ 147 * 12 = 1764mhz with Volcano 11
2 x 256mb PC2100 DDR Ram
Asus A7N8X Deluxe Mobo (Not the 2.0 revision
Radeon 9800 (Leaving out the rest on this...not important)
Antec 550w power supply

I read somewhere that I should upgrade my ram to get better stability, is that my problem?

I am not sure what you, but I am guessing you want to know what the core is? Well, I am not real sure but I think it is a polomino cause it is square and everyone says the polomino is square. I know this is a bad chip to overclock, but I think I can get to about 2.0GHz if I get faster ram to be in sync with 166fsb....What do you think?
