Should be able to. I have an older CO cored 3000+ that does 2.5ghz on the same motherboard (VNF3-250). I need a bit to much voltage for the stock heatsink, but if you got a good clocker, you should be able to do 2.3-2.4ghz with the stock heatsink.

it would almost be guaranteed i believe. Its a pretty small overclock considering must A64 seems to do between 2.3-2.5 GHz. Only way for you to find out though is to just do it ;) Good luck.

I can't say about the 3000+ but I got a 3200+(newcastle) doing 2500Mhz(10x250 and the mem on cpu/12 divider) @ default voltage on quiet cooling(ThermalTake Silent Boost K8 or something like that). The proc is the boxed version, but the boxed cooler is too loud, so I switched. The temp is 55 under heavy load, ~50 @ idle(for me quiet is very important). I think I could go higher with proper cooling, but I feel ok at this speed, beside I don't like changing the voltage and I don't care abou 5%(I would never feel them btw)in plus.
The mainboard is an epox, 8kda3+ and memory is 2x512 infineon(double sided, hence I can't do sync).
