OCing AMD Phenom II x4 965 to 4.0ghz on MSI 970A-G46 Motherboard? VRMS?

62C is max for stock, but for overclocking that's a bit rich. It's like running an Intel chip at 105C overclocked, it's not a good idea by any stretch of the imagination.

Add to that 1.54v and a 4+1 MSI board with no mosfet heatsink, it's a recipe for cooked vrms.

Honestly, im pretty happy with 3.9ghz. I dont feel very confident running above 1.6v either for a stable 4.0ghz.. Ill probably just try overclocking the cpu-nb and call it a day. I didnt even know about cpu-nb overclocking so thats something ill probably go ahead and try lol.
