Help everyone.

I've currently have an Asus P3C-E w/ 128mb PC800 Samsung Rambus. I am about to get an Intel VC820 w/ another stick of Rambus for $140. I've got an P3 750E overclocked to 1ghz. Will I be able to run this 100fsb cpu @ 133fsb(1ghz=7.5x133) on this new VC820?

Thanks

So can anyone help? I was told by someone that some how I can 'fool' the motherboard into thinking that this was a 133fsb cpu. But that i would have problems with voltage because i have to up the voltage to 1.85/1.9 to hit 1ghz. Any help anyone....please....

There are absolutely no overclocking options on that motherboard, since it is completely autodetect.

The only way to increase voltage or change the FSB is through the pin-taping trick.

It's probably not worth the hassle......go and sell the board along with the RAMBUS and go buy yourself an ASUS CUSL2. Performance will be a lot better too.

Well thats the thing. I already have an Asus P3C-E with Rambus. All I wanted to know was if I could use that board or not. Since I can't I'm just going to keep the Rambus and install it into my computer. So that I can have 256mb. Since the VC820 will still be in retail box brand new. I can sell it on eg@y. Thanks for the info.
