So i just got my friend's new rig up and running finally, and it's got a ph2 black 965 in it. so far all i have done is up the multi to 19 and im testing it @ 3.8 under linpack. i hear increasing the uncore on these things can net a pretty good performance boost, but he's only gonna be using it for gaming so im not sure how much that helps vs synthetics where it's most noticable. any comments on how to proceed? i want it to be as stable as possible so im not gonna up volts much (gonna have him run F@H CPU and milky way GPU when he's not using it), but i want to have fun tweaking it as well since i havent had a chance to mess around with an AMD system in a long time.

big questions that need answering: What's the safe max temp and max volts for these deneb C3 chips? im talking cpu, nb, HT, anything i may need or want to up. i know the C2Qs front to back now and i7's a bit, but all i really know about these AMD chips is that they are more resilient than 45nm intel chips when it comes to high voltages, but they are much pickier about temps at the same time.

ed: stable @ 3.8 stock volts, 20 minutes linpack @ 55c under an S-1283 i had spare

kk so some results, got it to 3.8 stable, went for 4, no matter waht i do it instantly crashes when i run OCCT or linpack @ 4GHz. so what's the best work around for this, i have already tried every trick i have read here, but i dont want to push past 1.425v without knowing what's safe. was hoping to hit or break 4GHz but i know that a lot of these chips just wont do it. i know i only spent half an hour with it, but there's not a lot of bios options for this board and the system boots in 20s flat so i can cycle settings REALLY fucking fast
