Hi All,

I just installed a 5870 in my 3YO system. It's a Sapphire Radeon 5870 non-reference card. I used Overdrive to OC mildly up to 900/1300.

After I OC it though, whenever I use the wheel button on my Razer mouse to scroll, the left side display in my dual monitor setup starts to vibrate.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm using the latest Catalyst 10.11 drivers from the AMD site.

Thanks.

First of all, what are your specs? Most noticeably your PSU

Sorry.

I built this system about 3 years ago:
C2D E6600 OCed to 3.2Ghz
Corsair 520HX
6GB DDR2 800
Asus P5K Deluxe with latest bios
3TB RAID 0
Another 3TB in storage
Sapphire Radeon 5870 stock
Pioneer DVD-RW
Windows 7 64 bit
Catalyst 10.11
2 24" LCDs at 1920x1200

The vid card runs fine at stock but if you bump it up to 900Mhz, the browser window starts stuttering when you use the wheel button to scroll through pages.

Thanks!

That means the core is probably unstable at that clock spped, i would try to tone it down to 875MHz and see how that goes.
