OCing 2500+ Barton... pls help

OK, since this is my first real attempt at OCing a system I will naturally have a few questions. In fact, I have one already.

First of all, a quick rundown of my core system:
-DFI NFII Ultra "LanParty" mobo
-Barton 2500+ w/ Thermalright SLK900A & 80MM 32.5 CFM fan (blowing down.. thanks for the help there 😉)
-2x512 Mushkin Level II PC3500 @ 2-2-2-5

Running great so far at stock 11x166. However the whole point behind getting the 2500+ was to get a cheap 3000+ or 3200+, so I must OC it.

For my first attempt, I set it at 10x200, then when I rebooted the POST screen said 1666 MHz. I didn't go any farther than that, I promptly put it back at stock speed and decided to seek help here. What gives?

change the setting to what you had and then boot up into windows or whatever OS u use. I just got my MSI Delta-ilsr board running at 200x11, but right after changing the settings i went into the bios to check and it had not updated anything saying i was still running at 1833mhz. try it and hopefully it works...

I think I can get it stable at 12x200 (2400 MHz) but I will need to tweak the voltage up a bit. Just curious, what's the highest "safe" voltage I should attempt with this setup? 1.8v? I'm running 11x200 @ 1.7v right now, barely reaches 50 degrees C under VERY heavy load (i.e. Prime95 running for a few hours). Normal use (gaming, SETI@Home, etc) only gets it up to around 47 degrees. What core temp should be considered too high?

Also, this LanParty NFII board seems to undervolt by 0.05v. I have my vcore set at 1.75v in BIOS right now but Winbond Hardware Doctor reports the actual vcore at 1.7v. Has anyone else with this board noticed the undervolting?
