OCing 1GB sticks of RAM

I would have thought you would be able to. How far I couldn't say, it will really depend on what timings you intend to run the ram at.

If your using an athlon 64, you will have to run 4 dimms with 2T timings. Which is basically shooting yourself in the foot....

Get the 2GB kit, it will OC well. Probably not as well as a 1GB kit, but still should be good enough.

I bought a 2GB kit simialr to that... 2-3-2 sticks anyway.

They can overclock to about 203 MHz at 2-3-2. They can get to 210 at 2.5-3-3 but not quite stable.

In otherwords, do not expect to OC that RAM, be prepared to use a divider to keep ~200 MHz. After my experience with 2x1GB, my opinion is that you can probably end up just as well with 4x512MB sticks at 2T than 2x1GB at 1T, but the 4x512MB will be cheaper.
