Hi,

I'm running a T-Bird 750 right now OCed to 1ghz. According to PC Alert, my processor's temp is 48 C... is this a safe temp? Seems a little high. My case temp is around 30 C. I'm about to run 3dMark 2000 for a little while to check stability, would this be a good test? or is there anything else I should run?

48c at idle is quite high, whats your cooling? 3dmark is ok, but to stress the cpu prime95 is my favorate.

to cool, I'm using a Taisol CEK733092. I also have a high output (and incredibly loud) 80mm 3500rpm fan exhausting in the back and a 80mm 3000rpm fan intake in the front.

Eventhough the temp is high, am I really at any risk of frying my cpu?

I don't think you will fry it, at 48c, but it will be more stable if you can cool it.
