Oc'ed 7800gtx SLI scores 16k in 3dmark05

lol, it takes me to the huge x and the front of the forums. where is in there? my favorites went through ok but i can't locate the thread.

And here I thought HardSpell's review was very, very wrong. You might want to add an "OCed" or "watercooled" at the beginning of your title.

Also, sweet.

Done 😀 ALthough, nowhere did I say that it's stock. The opp's thread doesn't make it obvious either 😉

Remember the GTX is a 24 pipe card. Can't wait to see what the 32 pipe Ultra will do.

cool...except only 492 more than the X850XTPE crossfire record. i do realize these are early results with probably early drivers...but even then..

though i'm not sure if the x850xtpe was with water of liquid nitrogen...the g70 was only with water.

Is the CPU directly factored into building the 3dmark05 score or is that just a separate CPU score? (Assuming the CPU isn't limiting the video card.)

The SKUs exist. We'll see a 7800, 7800 GT, and 7800 GTX initially, and Nvidia will release the 7800 Ultra and 7600 SKUs later on when their process is ready and when stock of 6800s has dwindled.

What kinda sucks is that you need a 7800 GTX for SLI. You cannot run a 7800 or 7800 GT in SLI mode.

I am really not impressed by the 7800. I didnt see any game the other cards could also play. Only a few resolutions that the other cards couldnt do as fast. But nothing spectacular to get the card.

So what is the difference between 80FPS and 120FPS at full eye candy?

That's true. But that's not really a knock on this card, more like praise for the previous generation of cards.

Your right it looks like those getting previous gen cards will be doing pretty good. Im hoping the 6800 comes down to 200.00 in a couple months.

The 6800 is already below $200.

However, if you meant the 6800GT pci-e, then no, those are still $350+ and likely won't be $200 any time soon. I could see the AGP variant getting near the $200 mark in a few months though.
