o'ced 2500, restarts at windows load

Hey guys, i am able to run my 2500 at 3200 but whenever i try to load up windows, it restarts???!! i'm sure it's not a problem with temperature. i'm thinking it could be the PSU? i got an antec 300w. i got corsair xms3200 so it's not the ram. everything loads up fine until the windows load screen, then my computer restarts... hm... any suggestions???

Try it at stock speed and see what happens.

NM guys i figured it out... just had to up my voltage to 1.75, running stable now at 3200+
=)

only thing is, asus probe saying cpu temp at 45C, should i be worried?

Should be alright.....it's gonna get hotter when you bump up the voltage. See how hot it gets under full load.

I ran 3d mark... the temp is around 52 under load... that should be ok

What's your actual voltage? Most Asus boards I've seen overvolt by 0.05V. So if you selected 1.75, you'd be running 1.80V.

I am getting the same exact problem when I set my multiplier to 12.5 which I used to have it at before with no problems but ever since I lapped my HS this problem arised. Im thinking its heat related and that my AS3 has to fully sink in until I can get back to that OC. I made sure all the BIOS settings were the same as before but am stumped as to what might be wrong. I am getting a new SP7 heatsink on Thursday so if its heat related then I will be ok.
