I really look forward to this. I thoroughly enjoyed Ocean's 11, and actually bought the DVD (something of a rarity for me).

If they can get back that awesome cast, and add some more quality actors, it'll be fantastic. Even if it's only 75% as good as the last one, it'll be worth the dime in the theaters.

I seriously doubt Sorderbergh is making that for the money. Maybe he is, but he could be doing it for fun. I mean you'd have to think so considering he did make Full Frontal.

Are you kidding? The original was awful. It had no plot or script to speak of. It was just operating off of the Rat Pack's "coolness", and forty years after the fact, the Rat Pack just isn't that cool.

I liked the first movie. Never expected the a 2nd one, but hopefully it's good.

Actually, "operating off 'coolness'" is exactly what struck me when I first saw the most recent Ocean's Eleven. Yes, there is a plot in there, but for the most part what keeps you involved in the movie is the coolness of the actors/lead characters of Clooney, Pitt and Roberts as well as the cool environments they're in. In fact, I almost found it to be a bit too self-indulgent at times since they were just reaking of the vibe 'look how cool I am.' But for this type of film it works. When I later saw the original, it struck me as being no different really. I liked them both. This sequel, however, sounds like a bad idea IMO.

They kind of left room for one at the end of Ocean's 11. When Clooney gets out of jail and Brad and Julia take him away, you see Garcia's guys follow after them. But I didn't think they would actually do it.
