Lasn clearly provides inspiration and ideas to OWS, but to state that he "controls" it contradicts what we factually know about how OWS is run and remains unsupported by anything substantive and objective. It's all just faithfully chanting the same claims over and over.

Nonetheless, the corrupt elite needs an army of apologists to deflect attention from OWS' main message. They will not have their looting spree interrupted by an informed and attentive democracy. Unfortunately for America, the right has been a reliable source of such apologists.

In the post I responded to above, the link contains an interview with Ban Ho -- an organizer for the recent OWS march from NYC to Atlanta. During the interview, he was asked why the next big march is planned to culminate in a huge event on May Day, an old Soviet holiday. His response was that he doesn't know, exactly, but "that's the date that AdBusters (Kalle Lasn) selected" for the big OWS springtime event.

It would work like this. KL: Well you know, we were the people who were lucky enough to sort of spark the whole thing just at the right moment with some of the posters we came up with and that hashtag Occupy Wall Street [#occupywallstreet], choosing that magical date, September 17th, that seemed to absolutely be the right moment.
