OCCT directx sdk requirements

My installation of OCCT 4.1 with the default directx tab checked looked like it downloaded and installed sdk components/updates from 2005-2006 (from the status messages) (odd?) but runs ok.

If I wanted to install the sdk separately, could I just download and install either the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) ~95Mb or the latest sdk 9.29.1962 6/7/2010 ~ 571Mb?
The (OCCT) installed SDK version/size/etc is not listed in the Win7 control panel-programs menu.
