Using the latest version of nTune on an evga 8800GTX, I can't get an OC to stick. I test an OC, apply it, reboot and it's back to default.

Also when I try to auto detect optimal settings I get a WSOD (white screen of death) and rig locks up.

Asus 650i mobo, latest forceware and nforce drivers, help!

That's because you aren't saving your settings..
Click first the tab profile and save it. Then go to taks->adjust custom rules and set your profile to start with the boot of Windows..

Alternatively you can use Rivatuner and do your job more easily..

Try ATItools which is exactly what I've been using to replace coolbit. Later Nvidia drivers have the o/c register disabled.

Thanks Jim. Wow, what a pain in the @$$ it is now to oc with nvidia. I've always stayed away from rivatuner and atitools because of coolbit's [former] simplicity. Compared to the bloated ntune program, Rivatuner is much easier! Compact program that does the job. I'm sold...

will the same method to save oc setting work for fan setting as well. i dont like the fact that my 8800gts is idling at 61C on stock fan speed, it drops to 57C when cranked up to 100% speed. i was gonna post a thread too about saving the settings b4 i found this thread.

i too got a BSOD (black screen) when i clicked on find optimal. one other thing i find odd is that my 8800gts (evga n821-ar) is showing in ntune as having 513core and 792mem factory frequencies. this particular should be at 500/800 for factory settings.

does rivatuner allow changing the fan speed?
