I know that the FX5900 Non-ultra sux overall, and they can't really compete with Radeon 9800PRO, but I just found a intresting review here.
Would you go were to buy a new card for about $220 would you buy this and oc it or go with Radeon 9800PRO??

I've gotten refurb 5900XT cards for around $150. I'd take those. In fact, I have. :D

Regardless of the raw performance or quality, I'm personally still going with the Nvidia cards for better compatibility. I've personally had Radeons not work in Nforce2 boards (board was fine with Nvidia cards and Radeon was fine with other board) and have heard of strangeness in Nforce3 boards. Also, Radeons have issues with some non-Nvidia chipset boards such as the Abit VT7 (VIA PT880 chipset).

yeah but at this point they are more or less in the same price range so regardless of what it was intended for, they are in competition now
