Just OC my AMD X2 3800+ to 2.4 Ghz.

The idle temp increased from 34C to 42 C, is it normal?

This is the second day of my new PC and I think the AS5 may not have been burnt in yet.

I am using Zalman cooler.

Is this temp high and should I set back to normal CPU speed until my AS5 is burnt in?

The AS5 likely hasn't burned in yet...I hear it needs time and loading it in 2-3 hour burst I hear helps it cure faster....

Voltage? This is the main heat-related factor. Also, what's your load temperature?

Voltage is still 1.4 . Haven't loaded the CPU yet until I make sure the system is ok...

Load it and give us the temperature. I, personally, think the temp is not too bad, though a bit higher than what we've come to expect.

I use RM Clock 1.7 to underclock the chip - idles around 32oC otherwise it idles in the mid 40s.
