does anyone have any proof or reason why a stick of memory couldn't be oc'd to 1:1:1:5 timings?

make one that would. Look: you have a 1066FSB in the 925XE chipset, so just ask intel to design a new memory controller to regain popularity with oc'ers. 1066 should handle it

It is likely that the RAM itself cannot do that - even 1.5-2-2 timings are hard to acheive on RAM that loves tight timings like BH-5.

I think the DFI NF2 Infinity actually has a setting for CL 1.5, and some people may have run that with lower RAM clocks.
