Has anyone sucessfully overclocked a TB 1.2Ghz on an Asus A7M266? If so, what BIOS settings have you used?

Also, any ideas why it wont detect my IBM Deskstar 75 GXP 60GB HD?? at bios level i mean..

If your HD is plugged into the Promise ATA/100 controller, it doesn't show up in the normal BIOS, so don't worry. Otherwise, I'm not quite sure.

thats whats going on then.

On another note, when i rebooted to run the disk manager (bootable disk) it jumped to the BIOS telling me that the 100MHZ setting faild or something.. so stupid me sets it to 133MHZ thinking i want to overclock it anyways.. now i get nothing. The machine boots, but there is no signal to the monitor.. all i hear is the roar of the FOP-38.. any suggestions? or have i fried it?

I'm not suprised its not booting if you have just changed the fsb to 133 as that would mean your processor would be running at 12*133, or 1.6GHz :Q

You need to clear the bios so that it returns to its default settings, which may be by connecting a jumper on the mobo, pressing insert while starting it, or unplugging and taking the battery out for 30 secs.

To run at 133Mhz you should decrease the multiplier to 9x.

Yep, that's it!! Could it be fixed by manually lowering the clock on the motherboard? Thanks for your help.. im an idiot, but soon will learn not to be! hehe
