OC Q6600 with cas5 pc-6400?

My system currently has 4gb of Corsair XMS2 pc-6400 CAS5 memory in it, and i'm considering upgrading to a Q6600 cpu (hopefully G0 stepping). Will the fact my ram is CAS5 and not CAS4 impede me if I want to attempt some mild-to-moderate overclocking? Probably 3.0ghz max to ensure stability.

It will make no difference whatever. Being pc-6400 is the important part.

That corsair ram will easily clock to 900mhz at CAS5 (giving room for 450FSB headroom for the mobo). You won't be hitting 450x9 = 4.05ghz on a Q6600 any time soon So don't worry you are good.

I have the same RAM and it does 800MHz @ 4-4-4-12 @ 1.9v and 667MHz @ 3-5-6-8 @ 2.1v (1:1 with 3.0GHz/1333MHz configuration). Great RAM.
