Do you guys know if the February version of the BIOS on K8N-DL supports the following?
--Locking PCIE and PCI bus frequencies against the HTT.
--NUMA
Or would I have to flash to the 6/29 version of the BIOS to get these features?
The C0 is not really suitable for OC, which is much better done on the CG stepping, or even better on the 90nm versions of Opteron. Originally, I wasn't going to OC this machine, then I thought; why not give it a try, to see what it can do.
On stock Vcore, using clockgen (PCIE bus locked), I was able to run HTT at 205MHz stable on about every try; sometimes it would work up to 210; most of the time, if it gets close to 215, it would just flip out on me; there was one time that I was able to run AquaMark on 220 HTT, but as soon as I tried 3DMark, it immediately froze.
So what do you guys think, is there any point in trying to up the Vcore and try to get to 220?
