OC Masters: I need help OC'ing on P4G8X

I would greatly appreciate any tips you guys have that I can try to solve my problem. First, I'll give you my specs:

Asus P4G8X Deluxe (granite bay)
P4 2.4B (currently running @ 2.7)
2 X 512 Kingston Hyper-X PC2700
Radeon 9800 Pro 128

I have been able to successfully OC my fsb to 150, w/o changing any voltage or other settings. I only had to lock the agp bus at 66/33. I have read many reviews that this board is very capable of running stable at 166+ fsb, but I am not having any luck doing so. Whenever I try to push the fsb to over 155 or so, the system will not boot, and makes several long beeps. When I get back into BIOS, it says that it has started in safe mode, and that I should check all my frequencies, etc. I tried setting my vdimm to 2.6V, but to no avail. So, what can I try to crank out some more juice? Heat is not a factor, as right now my cpu runs idle at ~36 degrees C, and ~50 degrees under stress. TIA!

It actually sounds as if your power supply is running out of power, since your board should be able to handle it, and you're running your memory under what it's rated to run.

Thanks for the replies guys. First, what do you mean by running the fsb at 166 with 1:1 fsb/ram ratios? The fsb and memory bus are synchronous on this board, if that's what you mean. Second, my power supply is a 480 W Antec True, which is pretty good. I can't imagine I'm running out of juice. Shouldn't that be plenty?

Another note I should mention: I haven't tried changing my vcore settings. What's the best procedure, in general, for upping the fsb, while simultaneously finding a stable vcore and vdimm? Also, should I just leave my memory timings at by spd? Thanks!
