After much tinkering to get my temps down, I think I'm ready to dive into the world of over-clocking. Well, not so much dive, but put my toes in the water...
My system:
i7 920
Asus P6T Deluxe
3X2GB Patriot Viper 1333
HD4870 Sapphire Radeon 1GB
Thermalright Ultra eXtreme 120 -1366
Enermax Infiniti 650W 80 Plus
1TB WD Caviar Black
1TB Seagate
Current temps: (Real Temp 3.00 with Prime 95)
Idle: 34 - 40C
Load: 58 - 62C
Questions:
1. Are my temps low enough and hardware good enough to attempt an OC?
2. I'm looking for a guide for newbs for OC the 920. Everything I've read so far goes over my head. I have no clue about multipliers, voltages, etc. Is there somewhere I can read and learn about all this stuff from scratch?
