I recently purchased a AMD 2500 Barton
Asus a7n8x Deluxe
2x256 pc 2700 corsair
what is the potential of over clocking this box ?
and could you please list the multipliers 🙂

you can prolly get it to 2.2 ghz, 200*11 if the memory is XMS pc2700 but thats really pushing it and it means that you would have to run loose timings

it is xms and i am starting to think i should have built a P4 box 🙂
My temps are unreal if i push the CPU to much

stock HSF with artic silver compound 47c idle 60c under load

Those are high temps. Besides overclocking with stock HSF = bad...very bad...

So you'll need a new HSF before you start. I can keep my stock 1700+ at 33C with a PAL8045.
