You generally reach about the same max as you would with a better cooler, except that your temps will be ridicously hot :p

3200-3500 MHz is average.

On stock, you'll likely get to around 3200 before you need to up vcore much.

As soon as you have to increase vcore, your temps will be insanely high.

the biggest drawback is ram. I had on stock cooling, OCZ EL DDR 667, and I couldn;t get about 365 which gave me ~2.5. I now have PC 8000 DDR 1000, and can get 3.43 (with aftermarket cooling)

Either or....They likley will both top out at the same....I have had 4 C2Ds now and all of them hit same level..almost identical....Through in MarkFW900's 2 and you have 6 almost identical....

OH, but with DDR2-800!!! Well most DDR2-800 if cas4 and mircon chips should do 1000 with cas 5-5-5-15 so you could go with the E6300 still but the E6400 would mean not as high a FSB...

Default vcore likely will top out at 3.0-3.2ghz...So that would be 8x400 for the E6400 but the E6300 would need 450 so that ram would run 900ddr2...This really depends on the quality of ram you buy and how much you want to spend.

I oc'd a E6300 to 3.4ghz on stock cooler and it hit 70 with dual orthos...it was running 1.45v...

I never tested default vcore too high but I know it ran 12 hours at 3.15ghz (7x450) but the temps were still right at 58-60c

Hi ... What is the default e6400 VCore ?

I can't remember what it used to be on my 680i, but now I have it at 1.265V

What is the original stock e6400 CPU VCore?

I have a 6300 and OCZ Plat DDR2-800. I'm running +0.2 on vDimm and 1.300 on vCore (less than stock ;) )

Got 430 x 7 = 3.0 ghz, 42C idle/53C load

I got about 3.2GHz on my E6300 (on Asus P5B Deluxe) but when run orthos or two primes, the core temp is reaching 62c.... I'm freaking out and stops.
Yesterday, I installed the Ninja Plus Rev B and my loaded temp is dropped about 10c. Now I'm running 3.35GHz loaded @ 52c (Vcore around 1.356v, 7x475). Also, the ninja's fan is much quieter than stock fan.
E6300 stock Vcore is 0.85-1.3525
