OC an Xp1800+

Hi there folks,

I was wondering if I could push my XP1800+ a bit further. I have it on a Gigabyte 7VA mobo. The problem is I'm not very used to the OC'ing world, so it'd be great to hear comments from ppl who have oc'ed this CPU with this MB, so that I know which is my best way and the highest oc I can expect to get.

Thanks & cheers!

it depends on what 1800+ you have...

is it a palomino? tbred a? tbred b?

need some more infon about your chip first

It's a palomino. After some trials, I've given up the idea of oc'ing it, I won't get any benefit since it's already running hot at stock speed (60ºC).

I guess I'll get a Barton when I change my video card... 🙂
