Can I OC an E2180 chip as fast as I could on a P35 board? I am guessing no, and I would like to know how far I can go. Also, is 780i a better choice? I am really looking to do SLI. Thanks.

First of all,it depends on the CPU and Board, since none are created equally, but at least 2.8-3.0GHz should be easily reached.

But if you're not playing on a high resolution,SLI is pointless, especially considering that several months or so after X card comes out,Y card will be the same price as a single X card and outperform 2 X Cards in SLI.

Hmm, that's true I guess. How high would it OC in a Gigabyte P35-DS3? Thanks for replying.

Again, depends on the CPU and Board itsself, but at least 3.0GHz is likely easy.

If your load temps are in mid 60s and 70s, sure why not.
