Long time viewer, first time poster in the midst of a hardware / software update and wondering how best to OC my system.
Mainly wondering about using an 8x vs 9x multiplier and what will work best with my current RAM 4 x 1 DDR2 800 rated at 4-4-4-15?
So far my system is stable at 3.2 (8 x 400) or at 3.375 (9 x 375), I have not tinkered with voltages much yet, just added .0375 to the chip, upped the northbridge to 1.4 and the memory to 2.1V
Temps were 25C resting at stock speeds and 29-30C resting now with either OC set up.
