That Celeron is a Willamette core so 2GHz is about the limit give or take a bit. What motherboard do you have?

I had one of those a few years back. They dont oc well at all and that ECS board probably wont help. You can try, just dont expect much

QFT, unless you want to do some mods and cross your fingers. That board looks like it unofficially supported a higher FSB so it would be possible to OC your CPU to around 2.26GHz by breaking off one of the BSEL pins and using the wire trick for a bit more voltage. It might work, and it might not.

ok well how would i do that what pin i really dont kno what im supposed to do like all ive been told is go into the bios and up the voltage in small incraments untill it breaks but thats pointless because i need to keep this processor till the end of summer so at least 4 months

dang you arent really aiming that high with your overclock now....I had awhile back a 2.0ghz Celeron on a GA-8SG667 (SIS648) mobo, it used to reach 3.06GHz(153x20) using a heatsink from a P4 3.06GHz(big heavy copper type), and very little increase in core voltage.
It wasn't a bad performer but was no match for a similar clocked P4.

P4 based Celerons are even better overclockers than P3 based Celerons(they weren't to shabby either).

Dude read a bit more of the thread! His is based on the Willamette core.

Yeah the Northwoods overclock ALOT better. Never got a Williamette 100-200Mhz above stock with voltage turned to max safe levels. Got a Celeron 2.7 Northwood running right now on a Soyo mobo with a VIA PM800 chipset and its running 3.1 Ghz on stock volts with a 3.2 Ghz P4 rated cooler. Not doing any higher cause its for my uncle and his case has sub par cooling for raising volts.
