OC A 3500+

Hey I just overclocked my 3500 venice, e3 I believe, and I could only get up to 2.475 ghz, stable on prime 95 and sp2004. I have a ZALMAN CNPS7000B-ALCU 92mm and my temps are around 30c idle, and only 47c max at load. I have it set at 225fsbx11. Could a crappy psu be the problem? (Was on a budget and need a job.) Please give input.

How much voltage? If you are more of the conservative type take it to ~1.55V or there abouts and you'll surely hit more than 2.6 GHz.

it's at 1.55, but the psu is only giving it 1.52

Could it be your memory is holding you back? Are you using a divider?

I have the memory at 198 right now, with a 9/10 divider.

Try using a lower CPU divider, like 9.

And when OC'ing CPU, try to leave the memory divider super low, to eliminate the possibility that ram is holding you back.
