Er previewed the post... Um btw i'm:
[*]wondering what i should try to change the timings of my ram to;
[*]seeking confirmation on overclocking FSB being wise for a small overclock (how much? take cpu to 2100mhz?);
[*]wether to fix the AGP/PCI/DRAM settings and if so which of those 3 options to use (i only know to do this if oc heavily);
[*]and WTF is up with Easytune not actually giving me the options to do it anyway?
Having probably reached close to limits i can stably get the GF3ti200 (217/515), time to overclock the CPU and memory a little. Right now I've a 2400+ at standard speeds (2008mhz, WCPUID), and 3 sticks of crucial PC2100/266 at 2.5-3-3. So far only tried to set the Gigabyte BIOS to "optimal" settings, where i get frequent BSOD (screenshot of defaults, optimal settings). The mobo is a Gigabyte KT266a: GA-7VTXH. Only want to do mild overclocking at least at first until i get the hang of it, initially thinking FSB overclock the best way? Reading through posts generally and a little Google, I'm fairly sure on this.
The BIOS doesnt give much options for overclocking, instead GB want oc'er to use easytune software, so I'll have to use that. One page of it's guide I'm not sure about, but from reading around I'm fairly sure I do need to fiddle these to ensure stablity:
- OR should i simply oc the System Bus and auto optimise with the easy setting? Unfortunately as per most manuals, it only confirms when you already know - too much gap and uncertainty for the novice BTW none of the settings actually show up :Q
 BTW none of the settings actually show up :Q
Cooling I know about. Stability I definately want. Moans about wuss overclockers can go elsewhere, and anyway I'm just starting

:QThere are 3 modes for AGP/PCI/DRAM clock settings:
1) Linear Mode: In this mode AGP/PCI/DRAM clock figures are change
2) Divider Mode: In this mode you are able to change the divider value of AGP/PCI/DRAM.
3) Async Mode: In this mode you are able to change the AGP/PCI/DRAM clock value individually.
