I am going to say this before I say anything: I know that anything that questions the legailty of anything, should not be done, if you are not sure.

The problem in question is: I bought Rome: Total War, but I have lost CD1 of 3 CDs (I have CDs 2 and 3). The thing is, I need CD 1 to install the game again. Can I legally obtain anoth copy of the game?

If you mean download the game then no since it is no longer in your possession.

Dude- you legally purchased it before. If you lost it, I'm SURE NO ONE will blame you for downloading the first CD seeing as though you have CD 2 & 3.

Really what you are buying is the serial number. The CDs cost pennies for the manufacturer. I would just download it and save yourself the trouble.

Just download it or make copies from your friends. If you aren't using an illegal or stolen serial, you're fine.
