Once a respected or 1-3 members have replied w/ a negative reply, the rest seem to follow up on the bandwagon. I forgot the post, but there was a repost that went unnoticed for awhile. It was one of warcrow's post about some wierd pic/video or something. The original thread was full of laughter, and the reposted thread (Before it was called to be a repost) started out negatively, and the rest of the replies were negative towards the OP

of course this also happens vice versa.

It's just an interesting observation i've noticed here hehehe.

EDIT: ahh i found a decent example:
happy replies
wtf/angry replies
same .swf files.

That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard!!!

I guess that will not make a difference.

Your observation is spot on. There is a big tendency to mimic previous replies. What adds to that is there is a bias towards negative posts in general.

If the first couple replies are from lifers, the crowd generally goes with them.
If they are noobs, the crowd often goes against them, for only that reason.

I think you're right. There are definite per-thread trends on this forum.

Also, fsck this thread. What's wrong with you?
